Oceania stretches across a breathtaking part of our planet—from Australia and New Zealand to thousands of islands scattered across the vast Pacific.

It is a region shaped by water, land, migration, and cultures with histories reaching back thousands of years. Aboriginal Australian, Māori, Melanesian, Micronesian, Polynesian, and many other peoples have their own distinct languages, traditions, stories, and ways of understanding the world.

There is no single way to be a girl from Oceania.

Our girls are readers and runners, artists and adventurers, storytellers and scientists. They climb trees, love animals, tease their siblings, learn from the people who came before them, and dream about places they haven't seen yet.

Each portrait tells an original story inspired by the extraordinary diversity of Oceania—not intended to represent any one culture, community, or lived experience.
