Lina is not keeping the kitten.
This needs to be understood immediately.
She found him behind a wall three weeks ago, hungry, filthy, and shouting at absolutely everyone.
She brought him home because he needed help.
That is all.
Her mother asked the obvious question.
“What are you going to do with him?”
“Find him a home.”
Her mother looked at the kitten.
Then at Lina.
Then back at the kitten.
“Of course.”
Lina did not appreciate her tone.
The kitten was given a bath.
He objected.
Loudly.
He was given food.
He stopped objecting long enough to inhale it and then immediately resumed shouting, apparently because the bowl had become empty.
Lina named him Zaytoun.
Temporarily.
You cannot advertise a kitten without a name...
Her Dream: To become a veterinarian and help create safe, compassionate care for animals that have nowhere else to go.
Her Wonder: “How does an animal know when it has finally found somewhere safe?”
