Naraa of Mongolia — The Girl Who Collects Good Days
Naraa of Mongolia — The Girl Who Collects Good Days
Age: 10
Region: Asia
Naraa collects good days.
Not objects from good days.
The days themselves.
She keeps them in a small notebook beside her bed.
Tuesday — First snow.
Saturday — Grandmother made dumplings. I ate seven.
Monday — Got every spelling word right. Even the horrible one.
Thursday — A horse sneezed on Batbayar.
That last one has been entered twice.
Naraa started her notebook after having what she described as The Worst Week in the History of Ten-Year-Old People.
Her Dream: To become a photographer and travel the world capturing ordinary moments people might otherwise forget.
Her Wonder: How many good things happen every day while we're busy paying attention to the bad ones?
